ABOUT ME
A Tenured Psychotherapist Who Puts You at Ease
I am trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and I do my best to make my office a place of supportive exploration. It is my belief that by connecting our past to our present, we are able to gain a better understanding of our feelings, behaviors, relationships, and experiences. I don't view therapy as "one size fits all". Instead, I meet you where you're at and tailor your sessions to your needs, including using cognitive behavior (CBT) methods when appropriate. I never want you to feel judged in your therapy, so I try to create an atmosphere where you feel safe to talk about what’s on your mind, where you can voice your most difficult thoughts and complicated memories. I view therapy as a collaboration, so I am not the type of therapist that sits in silence. Instead, I show you I’m listening and ask questions to enable us to both understand an experience better. I work with you to help you make the best decisions for yourself... because I know that the answers are somewhere inside of you and you just need a helping hand to get there.
